A charming movie, featuring Paul Hogan as an affable small-time criminal, interacting in a cheerful manner with the denizens of his own little world, and eventually, trying to make their lives a little better. It's a good message, and has funny moments, but contains no central plot or source of tension and conflict. As a result, it's a light, breezy watch, but with nothing tangible or interesting to bite into. Some directors could have pulled that off, but here, it's just an average flick.

Bunch of good laughs/Fun for the whole family: Comedy about an crook who dies saving a child's life and is sent back to earth as an Angel on probation. The crook gets a second chance to do the right thing in all his old crooked ways. It's like Apple Dumpling Gang/Angels in the Outfield!

A great and fun film, and nothing that should offend anybody or embarrass anybody in front of their kids. Great all around.

Another film I can't understand why I had such a soft spot for as a kid: the set-up is decent and there are mildly amusing moments peppered throughout but the story is slow and uninteresting, the characters one-dimensional, and the cheese keeps increasing to a truly yawnsome level by the climax. The silly twist at the end doesn't make any sense either and just seems to serve as a way to bring this to a close.

Bland. Hogan's charisma is about all that carries this slight vehicle. Just the thought of Heston and Joe Dallesandro together in the same movie makes my head hurt.
