I am sure the kiddies will like it but there is almmost nothing redeeming here for anyone over the age of 7. Lee gives it his all but I don't think anyone else did.

sad attempt to bring everyone's favorite chipmunks (sorry chip n dale!) to the screen for a new generation of children. the problem? the foolish decision to try and make the chipmunks "hip and now" for the kids, rather than just relying on their natural appeal to children. jason lee did do a pretty good job of playing the downtrodden Dave, though.
