It's cute and it does have a special something that makes you see potential, but it's a tad long and not particularly complex. Seeing a washed out copy probably doesn't help it.

It's nothing special, but there are some of those lil Spielberg touches already in it (That shot of the guitar case while Dingus runs to the water, MMHMM, Jaws)

Quite alright. It could use to be about half as long, but other than that there's something very pleasing about this. The constant background music is awesome and it's a charming and uncomplicated story told well through no dialog whatsoever. Worth a watch if only for the chance to inspect the early work of Spielberg, who shows his talent at an early stage.
