Summary: Sharada Nair (K.P.A.C. Lalitha) returns to Kerala from the US a rich woman & seeks an alliance for her son Devakumar (Premkumar). Competing for the hefty commission were matchers Thresia (Kalpana) & C.M. Sugunan (Jagathi Sreekumar). Meanwhile, Devakumar turns down all alliances, & courts his cousin Sreedevi (Chandini), much to the chagrin of Sharada, who had a bitter history with Sreedevi's father Govinda Menon (Janardanan), who was Sharada's elder brother.
