Summary: Anand Sehgal (Rajesh Khanna) is a patient with a terminal illness, who, despite knowing that his days are numbered, believes in living his life to the fullest. Contrasting Anand is Bhaskar Banarjee (Amitabh Bachchan), a sober doctor, upset with life and the dark reality of his nation. Bhaskar's tête-a-tête with Anand makes him notice the colors behind all the despair and complexity in one's life and teaches him a lesson.

Hrishikesh Mukherjee was one of my favourite directors. And I believe he was one the greatest ever to have walked upon the earth. His skill of blending humour with even the most trivial situation was legendary. If you get a chace to see it, do not miss!!

I only watched 40 minutes, but trust me, that was enough. You could easily tell where this clichéd, predictable trash was heading. Lousy acting, lousy production values, even lousy lighting. This seemed more like a high school project than a professional production. Based on the high iMDB score, I was hoping for something of Satyajit Ray-level quality. Not even close.
