Summary: Ron Burgundy (Ferrell) is the top-rated anchorman in San Diego in the '70s. When feminism marches into the newsroom in the form of ambitious newswoman Veronica Corningstone (Applegate), Ron is willing to play along at first-as long as Veronica stays in her place, covering cat fashion shows, cooking, and other "female" interests. Oh my... funny funny flick. Somehow this movie manages to be goofy and clever at the same time. One of the best mainstream comedies to come out in a long time, sporting some of the most memorable lines in years.

Absolutely super sharp comedy. Brilliantly written with a great cast who are on top form. This film is probably Ferrell's humour at its peak. The film flows from one excellent set piece to another, and even has a satisfying plot.

Outrageous, and outrageously funny. I loved this movie from start to finish. Ferrell is spectacular, as are the entire supporting cast. Quotes aplenty (verging on The Chapelle Show for overuse), and inspirational IMHO (I now want to be a newsreader).
