Summary: Eccentric scientist Dr.Daniel and his shy, clumsy assistant Max, lead a quiet life on their space station where they carry out illegal research into androids, until they receive an unwelcome visit from three fugitives from justice, one of whom is female. Don Opper steals the show in what is otherwise left overs from various Roger Corman movies

Very much a "mixed bag". The special effects and set design are cheesy but the cinematography is decent and I liked the music. Kinski is always a delight, but he's not in it that much. Opper plays the android as a rebellious nerd, which is interesting but doesn't always work. The script has some clunky lines in it, but the story is pretty intriguing once you get into it, with commentary on what it is to be human. It doesn't run very deep, but there are some nice angles to it, and a neat ending.

Terribly cheesy and the film offers little reason to care about any of the characters, but it's harmless fluff with that priceless old school sci-fi atmosphere. The sets are rather nifty, and casting Kinski was a great choice.

A clever and enjoyable low budget sci-fi/fantasy with tits, robots and cheesy laser effects.

Siskel and Ebert thought this was a small winner. I don't remember anything especially special

Nicely underplayed story. Cheaply shot on sets left over from _Battle Beyond the Stars_, this is humorous without being forced and at times oddly charming.

The filmmakers show that they themselves, for all their flippancy, have a more than adolescent respect for their elders, by throwing in a clip of the robot manufacture from _Metropolis_, and by hiring Klaus Kinski, with his German Expressionist inclinations, for the role of the Mad Scientist.
