Odd subject for an exploitation movie. Anita is a Swedish schoolgirl with clinically diagnosed nymphomania, which has the makings of a fun romp except that it's played dead straight. We end up with lots of sex scenes featuring a chronically depressed victim of mental illness rutting emotionlessly with a string of seedy characters. Not even Christina Lindberg's talents can turn that into something titilating.

Christina Lindberg is Anita, a teenage girl sucking and fucking her way through most of the men in her town, but she's a compulsive nymphomaniac so she gets no enjoyment from it. She meets a psychology student (Stellan Skarsgard, who must be mortified by this) who is convinced she'll be cured if she has an orgasm, so they try to make that happen. Ah, Swedish sex films of the 70s. Lindberg reveals her fantastic bod frequently, but she's so bloody morose for most of the time it's kind of a downer.

great and surprisingly romantic movie. its strength essentially being lindberg, because, frankly, just watching her walk across a room is sexier than...i don't know, sex itself. on top of that she carries the movie with a performance, both great and natural. same goes for skarsgard and the chemistry between the two. also not really an exploitation movie...
