Summary: Appu & Achchu (Mammootty) are the twin sons of Ravunni (Janardanan), a ballet artist. While Appu is noisy & talkative, Achchu is forced to silence as he was born dumb. These differences resulted in hostility brewing between them & their father had to let them grow up apart. Appu grew up in Pollachi, whilst Achchu grew up with his father in Palghat & is now the main artist in his father's ballet troupe.
