"Steen's performance is so mesmerizingly nuanced, her face so overwhelmed, almost twitching with complexity, it's like watching a volcanic explosion inside a small, very delicate flask." - Diego Costa

Bardzo przekonujaco zagrany. Poza tym podoba mi sie surowa realizacja i sposob filmowania, swietnie uwypuklajacy rozchwianie emocjonalne glownej bohaterki. Ten film sie czuje, przezywa. Warta uwagi rzecz.

A supposedly heart-wrenching portrait of a definitely terrifying woman. Somehow, I feel like this kind of experiment must have been done before. There have been an awful lot of one-woman shows in the theatre. Mostly it's a genre that is not to my liking. You can't deny that Zandvliet and Steen have created a very intense piece of cinema though.

Paprika Steen really IS absolutely magnificent here, and it's a hidden treasure, this film. Extremely well-written, and playfully obscene and cruel - if that's even a possible cocktail. Great piece of art, really.

Paprika Steen is a shining lighthouse of acting abillity. Unfortunately the rest of the movie falls flat. It starts rather suddenly and ends rather suddenly and overall I couldn't help feel like it was just a long episode of a TV series. There isn't really any development which makes it hard for you to invest in the characters. Yes there are some tough scenes, but overall you just feel forced to feel bad for Thea which isn't good. I would only recommend this for the performance of Paprika Steen.
