Summary: Ravindranath (Mammootty), living with his Hindi-speaking wife Seetha (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy) & two daughters in Bhilai, had left home for 18 years. When his coworker Hameed (Vishnuprakash) dies in an accident at the steel plant, Ravi & family finally comes to Kerala, accompanying Hameed's body. Reaching home, what Ravi saw was his hapless mother Lakshmi (Kaviyoor Ponnamma) surrounded by greedy & selfish family members.
