I think my loathing of this movie is not so much a rejection of it in particular as a rejection of its whole aesthetic. I hate these '70s telemovies with the too-bright lighting and kid gloves. During the ordinary-storytelling moments it's bland, predigested pap; when it tries to get scary it goes from banal to ridiculous. You can't tell a fan of Romero's Dead series that one stalker is all that scary. More to the point, I hate just LOOKING at movies that are made this way
