Generally drug abuse movies tend to draw out characters that are eccentric, but stay outside their realm or just plainly go for the funny aspect of it. Rapture really explores its material to whatever end possible. Main relationship and the subtle use of flashback in the movie reminds of Roeg's Bad Timing which is a masterpiece in my book. The ending was not satisfactory for me at all though, after all the psychological tension it creates, the twist seems deteriorating to the movies success.
