Summary: A Greek Fisherman brings an Atlantean Princess back to her homeland which is the mythical city of Atlantis. He is enslaved for his trouble. The King is being manipulated by an evil sorcerer who is bent on using a natural resource of Atlantis to take over the world. One of Pal's weakest fantasy films, this comes off like a poor man's Harryhausen. Stilted acting and too much stock footage (much of the fiery destruction at the end is lifted from the burning of Rome climax from _Quo Vadis_) but some of the FX are good, the photography colorful, and there's a weird, out-of-nowhere, _Island of Dr. Moreau_-like subplot involving mad surgeon Berry Kroeger and his beast men.

badly put together stock footage of clouds and volcanoes really stick out in my mind, but the story wasn't that uninteresting although it could have been written better.
