Quickie king Corman's contribution to the early '60s muscle man/fantasy genre, actually shot on location in Greece, with Forest as the conspicuously unpumped title hero who faces various low-budget challenges before winning the heart of breathless heroine Morris. Laughs aplenty with a cast better-suited to _Goodfellas_ and Corman himself filling in as an extra during one of the battle scenes.
