Summary: Two close friends, Aniruddhan (Mammootty) & Sukumaran (Mohanlal), marry each others' younger sisters, Neelima (Kavita Thakur) & Sujatha (Shobana), respectively. However, after the initial euphoria wears off, Aniruddhan's conservative views started clashing with Neelima's modern outlook, driving them apart. When diplomacy failed in bringing them together, in retaliation, Sukumaran sends Sujatha & their newborn child away to Sujatha's house. (by iceblox)
