Fairly laboured comedy remains watchable thanks to its fine comic cast (and a side-splitting cameo from Weaver). Martin is also amusing as a new age guru, but his character is basically one-joke, and the screenplay never really capitalises on the comic premise, instead becoming bogged down in Poehler's half-hearted scheming; it may have worked better to follow through on the initial premise, or else make the expectant mother a genuine monster.

It's not bad but given the talent available it shouold be better. And why can't there be a film in which a career woman DOESN'T want a baby? Also, the 'jokes' about Sigourney Weaver being too old for anything seem odd when she's been on screen cock-punching aliens.

i thought this was hilarious. Tina Fey was wonderful, and even though it seemed like Amy Poelher was playing an SNL character she was pretty believeable too. Also, i am a huge fan of Greg Kinnear's.

Fey and Poehler carry this comedy through some really weak spots. The conventional "romantic comedy" bits with Kinnear are completely unrelated to the rest of the movie, and Steve Martin playing the "wacky" new-Age boss was tired and derivative. Still, this movie could have been 90 minutes of a fat man pooping, but as long as Tina Fey shows up for the credits, it would get at least a 75 from me.

Clichéd and predictable, in every way. I could see the "happy surprise ending" from a million miles away. And if you have seen the movie trailer, you've already seen every "gag" in this movie already. And to top it all, they've dragged the usually-dependable Steve Martin into this mess with a totally unneeded and humorless role.

Honestly pretty poor as a comedy, but a fun date movie. Considering Fey's witty and acerbic sense of humor, her theatrical lead role debut is curiously innocuous and unoffensive.

Average in every way. A decent enough way to spend an hour and a half, but nothing more. I expected more from Tina Fey (30 Rock is surprisingly funny, and I guess I expected the same standard applied here), but this was just....average, really is the only word I can think of for it.

Clichéd, tired, terribly paced. The characters are one-note and faceless. Nobody knows how to write for Tina Fey or Amy Poehler better than Fey herself; they should have let her. Both actresses have their moments, but I can count the number of times I laughed on one hand, and I was drunk. The writing is a sad imitation of the self-deprecating brand of humor Fey has made her own, and the unfunny caricatures Steve Martin and Sigourney Weaver are given are insults to both of them.

You don't know my life bitch! Oh man I don't usually like Amy Pohler and have never watched 30Rock, but Fey and her somehow were able to surprise me with a lot of their stupid humor. I mean the whole American Idol video game was pretty funny too. My date didn't fall asleep during it either which was a plus, too. Now the story itself was stupid and really made little sense, so that hurts the score. And Carlton as a bellhop... Go back to growing plants! Oh and please don't waste Steve Martin.
