Written and scored by Satyajit Ray, starring Soumitra Chatterjee and Aparna Sen? I had to see this, even though I was unfamiliar with the director. I can see why Ray would want to pawn it off on someone else, it's a very conventional romantic comedy; not exactly his forte. Perhaps he was doing a favor for first-timer Datta. The film is passable with some decent chemistry between Chatterhee and Sen, but overall it's rather unspectacular. The highlight, without a doubt, is Ray's terrific music.
