I actually kinda like it, even though I know it doesn't fit anywhere in the Beauty and the Beast story. If you can enjoy the music and realize that it's not in the BatB "canon", you might be able to enjoy it as I do. But I do realize it's not very good...it butchers the two leads.

Don't be fooled by the promise of Tim Curry in yet another over-the-top role; this movie hurt me to watch... it hurt a lot. Lacking any of the charm of its predecessor, it features some truly awful songs, horrendous (and totally unnecessary) CGI and a downright stupid script that feels like it was written by someone who hadn't seen (or read) any version of Beauty & the Beast. Its only redeeming quality is the return of the original voice actors, but their talent just ends up feeling wasted here

Does anyone else mind that this doesn't even make the faintest bit of sense? I mean, why can't everyone remember an event that took place only ONE YEAR AGO? And on top of that, when the eff did this happen in the timeline of the original movie? There's not exactly a lot of empty space in that narrative! Oh well, as far as Disney sequels go this one is...well, I think this one's as good as a non-pixar Disney sequel is ever going to get. In other words, it's almost ok, but still bad.Happy Holidays
