Summary: Dr. John Garth seeks a serum to fight off aging, even after being sent to prison for a mercy killing. Some fanciful pseudoscience enhances all the double-talk about medicine for the good of mankind, but it finally boils down to Doc turning into a human monster a la Dr. Frankenstein. Less going for it cinematically but Karloff's given a plum roll and he runs with it.

Basically the same plot as _The Man They Could Not Hang_, complete with same star and same director... just nowhere nearly as fun. Not at all memorable, either... to the point that, back in the VHS days, I actually rented this a second time, brought it home, and watched some of the titles before I realized I'd seen it before. That was the only time that's ever happened to me, in all my days of voracious moviegoing
