Time never dies. The circle is never round.

Decent but occasionally heavy-handed anti-war film. The gimmicks are sometimes annoying: the interconnected stories, the circular timeline, the repeated motifs. Some of it is interesting, but it tends to come off as contrived. I thought the first story was by far the best and most profoundly moving. The second section just seems out of place and pointless. Things pick up a little with the third thread, but I didn't like the character much and by that point the gimmickiness was getting to me.

I found this strange. It's educational, insightful, but overreaches.

An interesting film that explores the circular nature of violence.While I found the issues this film deals with compelling the way it was portrayed on screen was not.Parts of this film dragged on a little to long.While the cinematography was breathtaking I felt at time they were more concerned with the shot then the emotion of the scene.In the end this was a worthwhile film to watch that explores complex issues and get's us thinking about the way war and hatred effect and changes us.

Three acts of greatness. The third is the strongest.

if you don't love it, watch it again. Deep messages, great filmmaking, unique circular approach that ties the structure, story, and characters together in a true masterpiece.

I saw Before the Rain for the third time last night, and once again I admired everything about the film, from its time-bending 3-act structure, to its moral compass, to its sense of foreboding and its visual sensibility, which is unique unto itself but that owes something to Sergio Leone. This is the wilder west, where a man would rather kill his own than lay down the fight.

Hate breeds hate. There is a tempest before the rain. There had been a war in the last 10 years in the midst of Europe, the cradle of civilization that people barely recognized or cared.

I have seen it long time ago, but I remember strong story and fascinating music...

Maybe it's a genial movie, but I just fell asleep on it. I watched it with a friend, and she passed away even earlier, so it's not just me...

Gahh, frustrating. So much potential here. I'm surprised how well received it's been. I couldn't bare the second part, and they took liberties with sound effects.
