Back-projected grasshoppers rampage over photographs of the Chicago skyline in Gordon's almost-remake of _Them!_ This has a surprisingly suspenseful first twenty minutes or so but once those badly matted-in buggers appear it never recovers. Amusingly, the big-budget film _The Swarm_ stole its ending from this ten-day wonder.
