A criminally weak sequel to an already lacklustre first movie, the attempts to shoehorn in a moral throw this into straight-to-DVD territory. Nobody here brings anything new to the table, and the whole business unfolds with a tedious monotony that (sadly) it's hard not to expect.

A decent sequel that is probably just as good as the first, even though the novelty has slightly worn off. Martin Lawrence is still great at providing the right laughs as Big Momma, and I would say it's a good concept going undercover as a Nanny. Fans of the first will still be pleased, but it probably won't win any new ones along the way as it's pretty much the same film with similar jokes. Overall I can still watch & enjoy it as it's the type of comedy I like, and would still recommend it.
