McKimson's Bugs toons, for the most part, annoy me, and this one is one of the worst offenders. He gives his antagonists personalities, and in all the worst ways.

Big Top Bunny observes a creative performing duel between regular, sadistic Bugs and a self-important, gullible circus bear and rewards enough to undo that sense of being slightly overstretched. A battle of wits that surpasses much of the Elmer/Bugs, Porky/Daffy and Coyote/Roadrunner material, it's one worth mustering up some enthusiasm for, even if it's no Thugs with Dirty Mugs.

I liked the Rube Goldberg ending

Nice to give Bugs a semi-intelligent antagonist who even gets the better of him at first, and set the short in a circus. Unfortunately, the gags are mostly crappy and honestly, lazy, while making limited use of the setting. Even with the consideration given to it being for kids, it's "watchable" at best.
