Summary: Inferior but nevertheless enjoyable sequel to Tim Burton's Pee-wee's Big Adventure, with a better cast. This time, Pee-Wee finds himself involved with a circus who become held up in a storm in his home town. However, the local community are hostile to the freakish traveling band. (imdb)

A classic from my childhood. Though the description says it's an inferior sequel, I don't know if that's actually the case. I did enjoy this one, and would enjoy it still today. I highly recommend this to kids and families alike. Especially young families.

Saw it in the theaters when I was seven, hated it. Saw it on videotape when I was 13, still hated it. Saw it on cable as an adult, yup, hated it. I like Paul Reubens and his Pee-Wee character a lot to this day, I just get the feeling that he was way over his head making this one. No, I don't think Tim Burton directing would have mattered.

Has absolutely none of the subversiveness, humor, or imagination of the original Tim Burton film. Instead, it's a straightforward, generic Hollywood film about overcoming differences and everyone ending up happy. And Pee-Wee gets legitimately annoying at many points here, something the first movie avoided. The summary below calling it "enjoyable" is a hell of a stretch; it's just a poor flick.
