Summary: Toughie Shanmughan (Mammootty), although for namesake was a cop, wasn't one in practice & often stayed in the gray area between good & evil, with the cops, politicians & the mafia tolerating him due to his influence over all 3 parties. However, when a daughter he knew never had turns up & Shanmughan decides to turn over a new leaf, Devin Carlos Padaveedan (Lal), Shanmughan's old confederate & reigning mafia don, assumes Shanmughan to be a threat to his existence & tries to eliminate him.
