It's tasteless and not at all original, but I can think of far less entertaining ways to waste an hour and a half. Loved the look of the movie- lots of colored lights and snow- and, while it isn't a classic like its predecessor, it's a fun little slasher flick.

The film was highly contrived, and they killed off Michelle too quickly! But I still enjoyed it.

It's bad. Just bad.

I was complaining about how crappy this movie was, and my friends kept telling me "It was SUPPOSED to be like that!" It was supposed to be cheesy and lame, sure, and it definitely was - but it wasn't entertaining in the slightest. I could make a movie that's nothing but 2.5 hours of blackness. People would say, "Hey, this sucks," and I'd just tell them, "It was SUPPOSED to be like that!"

Black Christmas isn't a good movie. It doesn't have many fun or creative kills, and it's a remake of a classic slasher film that really didn't need to be remade. It's a pointless movie that, while not terrible, certainly isn't worth spending the time to watch, even if that time is only 85 minutes. While it has an interesting style, it's a dull, overly convoluted slasher that you have no reason to watch.

1+ avoid at all costs

Does everything wrong; it gives the killer a name and gives him more clear backstory. Completely ruins the point of the killer in "Black Christmas."

Not good, not even in a "so bad it's good" way.

Convoluted slasher with a vivid color palette. Runs far too long, especially given its hackneyed and stupid premise. If you are unfortunate enough to see this, good luck making sense of it.

Unfortunately, this is just one in an ever-incrwasing line of movies that did not need to be "remade" or "reimagined." I don't know what the filmmakers were trying to pull off here, but they failed pretty miserably. As fun as it is to see people like Lacey Chabert and Michelle Trachtenberg get killed on film, not even that can make me condone this atrocity.

Just plain awful. I'd rather watch a shot-by-shot remake of the brilliant original than this teenage comedy shit. Awful, man. No amount of boobies can save this kind of crap.

a movie that rips off every slasher flick ever made, and offensively so. the only thing i like is the use of lighting and the flashback scenes had this movie been only about the boy's childhood it could have been watchable. the gore-factor is so low it might as well be G-rated.
