Could have used a little less preachy and a little more story. Bogart is fine and there are a couple of sickening scenes, but either it doesn't push things far enough or the character isn't quite developed. A darker presentation with less melodrama would have been good, and it just seemed too simple for such a serious topic.

The first half-hour or so plays like a sitcom. Doesn't really get going until the rather harrowing blood-oath scene. Bogart for the most part effective (and we see the start of his haunted-by-demons persona). On the whole though, not really long enough for anything to develop fully.

Seems the only reason why this movie was made is to inform the public why racist organizations are bad. And it does it in a very blunt and primitive way.
