Decent film in that it presents colonialists in Africa in a negative light, one of the first films to do this if my memory serves me correctly. However, I had a hard time relating to any of the characters as a result, as the Africans still have a peripheral role and all of the white characters are, quite frankly, total dicks. Even the protagonist was a reprehensible douche bag, as he enslaves and tortures his way through a silly proxy war. Still worth viewing.
