About people's struggle to communicate effectively, excruciating awkward silences fill much of this film accompanied by desperate attempts to fill these in with no less awkward discussion. All this, along with shouting matches between two side characters, is seemingly compared to the retarded sister of the main character as if to emphasise the struggles the main characters are having in communicating. Strains believability a tad but it is engaging and sympathetic. Could improve on a rewatch.
