The blind swordsman gimmick wears off real fast, and after that first fight and the car chase, it becomes something of a crapfest; albeit a mildly entertaining one.

I did not like the movie when I saw it in early 90's and I did not like it when it came from TV in 2011. Rutger Hauer is terrible comedy actor. He just cannot not. Movie was acceptable time after time, when Hauer did not twist his face and tried to be funny. Extra points for Lost's Locke (Terry O'Quinn). It was funny to see him with hair on.
