The first 20 minutes/half hour in the cinema i was a bit confused, asking myself what was going on, until i realized there wasn't a whole lot going on, just Stat ham doing what he does best. Kill bad guys while looking cool and talking cockney. Standard and predictable semi action movie. Not really good but not really bad, if ye kna mean.

Brainless British cop vs cop killer action flick jammed with cliches and corny dialog. It's got a great cast though, and it's always fun to watch Statham growl his way through a tough guy role. Not bad, but it could definitely do without all the technobeats.

An average action movie. Statham does his usual running and punching and shooting thing and the bad guys do their thing and it all happens as it is supposed to. A rental.

Building blocks were definitely there for a good action thriller but Blitz fails miserably at almost everything. At least Statham is good.

The movie starts of trying to have parallel stories intersecting which would then make the all the chips fall in place, but it is a not-starter. This is a cliched and predictable movie which isnt that great in action. Watch this movie if you have nothing better to do.

Statham has been in seriously many sequels. His character must have some major deja-vu issues by now.

A completely pointless movie. The action is boring and the plot makes little sense. The main character is not just a stereotypical loose cannon, but a complete psychopath who waltzes in to a murder scene to crack jokes about a colleague who has been brutally murdered just a few hours earlier. Then he pokes fun at his new partner for being "a poof" and tells the lady cop to put the kettle on. Then he fucks up the entire investigation because he's a terrible cop. And no one seems to mind.

Felt like a påskekrim with better actors (David Morrissey actually stars in a påskekrim, though). Carcetti and Considine were very good, and Statham has a very darkly funny line about something horrible being comical. Unnecessary plotline girl was very hot. Overall, decently entertaining, pretty bland tv-movie-ish, with above-average acting.

What a terrible movie. Is this supposed to be action? Because it is missing. Is it supposed to be thriller-ish? Because I am bored. No, this is not a Statham movie.

Statham continues to make underwhelming action movies. He has yet to re-capture the charm and wit of the Turkish role that got him all this work.

"Blitz" is a very pleasant watch, rewarding enough despite being occasionally uneven. Statham is in his element, shooting quotable line after quotable line with his trademark menacing coolness, opposite delicious turns by Considine and Gillen. The script is rather familiar and far from watertight and is characterized by an unfortunate dip in intensity during the final act yet the resolution is satisfying enough and succeeds in leaving a sweet aftertaste of this mostly solid yet minor thriller.

As much as I appreciate that Statham is this generations action hero, and I appreciate that he does his own stunts n'shit, I haven't actually really liked any of his action movies... but I've really liked his Guy Ritchie rolls. What I'm saying is, I like him as that, but I feel he has bad taste in the action movies he does. This is really basic, but is more thriller than action, so that's okay. But ultimately it's just kind of 'meh' and doesn't do anything great. Passable.

Blitz is possibly Jason Statham's worst film to date and I was left completely underwhelmed. Jason Statham, Aidan Gillen, David Morrissey & Paddy Considine are a more than capable cast but none of them are given too much to do. Plot wise this is a dull experience and there's no action sequences worth mentioning. Overall I'm surprised this even made it to cinemas as it looks and feels like straight to DVD release.

Bad action movie with three great actors wasted potential: Gillen as master troll, Statham as kickass on duty and Considine as gay sidekick. Story and direction are utter ballocks. It's like collage of some chasing scenes, Statham kicks way to few asses per minute and the most convincing character is a homeless idiot. They could easily cut out WPC Falls and her drug thing cause it has no connection whatsoever to main plot but I guess they needed more screen time.

As Mr. Statham awakes from a booze-filled night trying to forget that they ever made THREE "Transporter" movies, here we have "Blitz". As in most cop flicks, he's a badass with a good-guy streak, and random violence and silly impossibilities push the action. Like shooting a cop in broad daylight on a busy street, then disappearing. There at least was one great line: "This lads, is a hurley. Used in the Irish game of Hurling: cross between Hockey and Murder." Epic line. A good kill or two. Skip.

Aidan Gillen has a strong presence, but stupid side-stories and even a more stupid ending makes this film a bad Dirty Harry imitation.

One of Statham's worst. I really liked Aidan Gillen as The Blitz (Barry) though. Statham was supposed to be the protagonist, but he just came off as an asshole. I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed when Barry ended up losing in the end. Also the B plot was so bad, and didn't fit at all. I don't know what they were thinking there, it was as if they just spliced a short film in with this one, because it was seemingly unrelated to everything else. The action was also pretty bad.

An amazing hero (Statham) and an amazing badguy (Gillen) keep this movie interesting. Otherwise it's basically your standard action flick about a badguy killing cops and they go after him.

Ugh. I wasn't asking for much and was expecting even less, but Blitz refused to give me even the slightest amount of Statham-related entertainment. Instead of over the top action I got a mix of uninteresting storylines and poor chase scenes. A total waste.

Boring story, no action worth mentioning, no suspense, uninteresting characters. Has a TV-movie presentation, an "evil villain" parody, and has no right to be titled Blitz. Jason Statham has too much masculine charisma to be mucking around in pandering PC tedium.

Pretty generic cop with an edge thriller. But it's The Stath. The Stath is always at least watchable. Not horrendous, but a bit like a violent episode of The Bill

Littlefinger didn’t do the best job as the killer here. Statham leads the film well and there’s a couple good supporting performances. Overall a bit underwhelming.

Nothing really remarkable about this one. Statham is Statham, and his gimmicky sidekick this time is a gay cop. The enemy of the film is not all that interesting - a rather dull take on the anarchistic Euro-type. Action is okay but nothing memorable.

I had not heard anything about this movie before I watched it. Overall this film is a pleasant surprise. Jason Statham is good playing a similar type of role he has played before. The script is unique and is interesting the entire way. I would recommend this film.

went in expecting to have to endure it...enjoyed it quite a bit. fantastic acting brought the decent story up, and it probably helped that i did not expect this to have Crank or Transporter levels of action. it kept me interested the whole way through.

Another Statham romp. It's certainly not bad, but not memorable either. Statham quickly becomes a caricature of himself though, every role he plays is the same guy. And next time (even if the script says otherwise) PAY FOR YOUR GODDAMN DRINKS. You come off like a fucking asshole.

It's full of feverishly potent performances, particularly by Paddy Considine, Aidan Gillen and Zawe Ashton, and fledgling cinematographer Robert Hardy settles distinctly on their most telling qualities. Still, this is a bland, forgettable and uninspired action hero vehicle, sleekly directed, but wanting in audacity. So even though it's a modern-day London-based Dirty Harry/Death Wish right-wing vigilante fantasy, it has the pizzazz and pace to keep you held.
