This tries hard to be funny but isn't, with an outlook so nihilistic and misogynistic -- all the women, apart from the heroine, are raped, sodomized, and sliced up while frontally nude -- it's often hard to watch. Picketed by women's groups in the early '80s, this is one of the few horror films truly deserving of such condemnation. Of course, this will be taken as recommendation for some, but honestly, proceed at your own risk.

As a parody about theater critics, it's actually pretty funny at times. As a sick exploitation flick, it's still more entertaining than The Passion of the Christ.

Master Sardu splashes around lots of red paint and drops some hilariously corny quips as he tortures girls and his dwarf companion makes sweet love to a severed head. Looks like it was filmed in someone's basement, with a large piece of black cloth hanging in the background of every scene. Two words of warning for more squeamish viewers: Cock Sandwich.
