Great direction and acting by Robbins in a mock-doc about a right-wing Bob Dylan.

Sometimes smart and sometimes clunky, it's ultimately a very recommendable political satire. The saddest thing is how close to home much of the content hits despite approaching twenty years of age--nothing really changes in the pure sewage of American politics.

This movie is a good satire of American politics. There is a special bonus if you are a fan of Bob Dylan because of lot of the songs are parodies of his work.

An advertisement for the Democratic Party which is too keen to preach to the converted.

Excellent.

Tim Robbins is charismatic and a good actor, but as a filmmaker he is unfunny, has no sense for drama and his ideas about politics are infantile. By which I mean not that his criticism is misdirected, but that it's dull and simplistic. Watchable enough, though, I suppose.

In some kind way this movie tell true about USA but in one not. When you have election in this movie you have one Bob Roberts i real life in USA you have both.

Rickman is hilarious

Effing scary movie. Don't watch this if politics upset you.
