Pretty fun movie to watch. Exceeded expectations.

Really predictable at times, but thoroughly enjoyable thanks to a very nice performance by John Travolta as Bolt, and awesome comedy in the forms of Rhino the Hamster and the pidgeons. The cuteness factor and hilarious hamster make up for the stupid plotline.

There's not much new to Bolt, but what's here is done so charmingly that it's a real triumph for Disney (which hasn't put out a cartoon this good under its own label since... ah... Lilo and Stitch?) Now, a note on 3D. This was the first 3D movie I've ever seen, and digitally projected with clear, polarized glasses and full color, it's what I've been waiting for since I was a little kid squinting at my 3D magazines with crappy red and blue cardboard specs. It's well worth seeking out in Real-D.

I know this film is for kids, but come on, kids can think too. From beginning to the end every scene in "Bolt" is predictable. And on top of that, it is incredibly shallow. The only type of humor is slapstick. And sadly that's the only thing I found enjoyable in this Disney flick.

Really cute movie I loved it!

Surprised by the amount of love this is getting. Perhaps children will enjoy it but I grinned exactly once and all the other jokes fell flat. These animated kid flicks need to make me laugh in order to work and this one certainly failed at that. Utterly lacking in the Pixar wit of a Toy Story, Nemo or even more recent non-Pixar CGI fare like Kung Fu Panda. If Disney's supposed to be "back" with this one, they're in trouble. Boring and I don't think the kids around me cared too much either.

Although uninspiring, boring and quite pathetic, Bolt ignited a fire deep inside me that hadn't been reached in a long time. I was completely connected to it, and you have to admit it is cute. One of the year's best animations, and Disney has finally gotten right back on track.

As by-the-numbers as "Bolt" could be at times, I have to say I really enjoyed it. The characters here are introduced well enough in the first act that even them going through the motions was funny enough. It definitely doesn't have the depth of a Pixar film, but it doesn't seem to want it. There are comments on Hollywood throughout the picture, which is pretty ironic, considering that "Bolt" falls into many of the trappings that the film looks to satire. Still, I didn't walk out disappointed.

Unforgivably generic. If the script writers had any decency, they'd call this movie "Dog Story". The main characters are slap stick puppets, completely void of interesting traits, as the story makes repeated attempts to punch you in your emotional ball sack. It makes you suspect that this is nothing but a cleverly disguised Miley Cyrus advert. All is not bad, however, as this movie has some serious hamster factor going for it, if all too little, all too late.

Replace this dog with a french bulldog and it's a 100!

A roller-coaster of fun, intelligent film making.. Its been a long time since such a non-cliche-run-of-the-mill type story appeared from disney or pixar. A great movie. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

The hamster has all the best parts.

Surprisingly good, and despite the predictable storyline it doesn't feel too stale. And the character design of the animals is outstanding.

Alright. Better then expected. A couple decent scenes, but it never seems to go anywhere.

Considerably better than expected. The CG is crisp where it needs to be, soft where it needs to be, and the characters move very expressively. The plot is stupid, but it more than makes up for that with cute.

There's a clean sheen to the computer animation that holds up fairly well to a Pixar comparison. There's also a wilting blandness to the storytelling, a by-the-numbers quality that makes the finished product fitfully entertaining at best. John Travolta delivers nice enough voicework as the title pooch, but the premise itself is strained. That would be easy enough to gloss over if the other elements were engaging, but the film lurches when it should zip.

This movie felt like it had a lot of potential if only the filmmakers had any cojones. It's animated decently but the character designs look like they were just drawings of the things they were. For example, Penny just looks like someone drew a cute little girl and Bolt himself just looks like someone drew a dog. Visually, they only relate tangentially to the personalities they represent.

essentially a twisted remake of The Incredible Journey story, with a deluded dog, a damamged cat and an insane hamster. Has plenty of laughs, the cat ISN'T just a bad guy for once and the transition for talking hamster to squeeks cracked me up. One for the family, though the kids might get a bit antsy 80 or so minutes in. I know it choked me up!

I don't know why I like this movie so much. I just really enjoy it.

The plot is very silly but the animation looks good especially during the action scenes and Bolt is adorable. Surefire hit for kids.
