Summary: Pluto's dish is empty, so he goes after the bone in the dish of Butch the bulldog, who is sleeping next door. Can he make it home with the bone before Butch wakes up? No. Soon they are chasing each other through a deserted carnival, into a hall of mirrors. Pluto takes advantage of one set of mirrors to scare Butch off. (imdb)

Initially succeeds at emphasizing the usual assertions of these Disney-brand shorts, that simple jokes can still be damn funny. Alas, Bone Trouble's ultimately held back by its middlebrow sensibilities, getting lost in a tediously prolonged hall of mirrors gag when it should have sustained its embrace of its cat and mouse (or, rather, dog and dog) spar.
