A thoughtful movie which started off with some interesting ideas - a non-linear narrative following two timelines, a young romance, and a decadent aesthetic revolving around literature, philosophy, imagination, and quite a lot of sex and nudity. The bad side is, the movie had some pacing problems and just seemed to fizzle out rather than driving towards a climax. Despite the good parts, I didn't find it enjoyable as a whole. Any interesting moment or idea was lost in a sea of boring self-pity.
