Summary: Ritchie Donovan (Dorff) is a professional thief whose luck has just run out. The only survivor from a heist that goes terribly wrong, Ritchie is forced to take the rap and is sent to Russia to steal a priceless antique cross locked in a safe on the penthouse floor of a Moscow skyscraper. Things start badly and go rapidly downhill when, during the robbery, Ritchie and his Russian accomplices are forced to take hostages because they are trapped by the police on the unused 13th floor. I dont get the love for this movie...its just so boring and uninspired. It was label a horror comedy..I did not laugh and then the box had all these rave reviews and I sat there and sure there are a few decent kills in it..but the story and the actors are all so one dimentional..the movie has a lack of focus and the end result is just a abyssmal joke
I don't know, I kinda wanna pat it on the head and say "Good job, little buddy!". :D
You know, like "nice try", but better. Cause some stuff in here was actually fun. :>
It's kind of funny in parts but generally it's just incredibly dumb. I'd write more but after about 40 minutes of the bad Russian accents I was sick of the tired low-brow gags. Still there's some funny bits here and there.
so wickedly entertaining and wacky, it befuddles me how this movie could maintain being an actual horror movie while gloating around a russian viking killer who likes to dance to disco while killing people, if thats not fun i dont know what is.
Horror and comedy go together well. Whether sarcastic like Scream or pitch-black like Ravenous, the two genres have a history. This is an ambitious reach, though - a *screwball* horror movie, played totally straight. Must be seen at least once to believe it could be attempted.
