Spencer Tracy in a musical?! This was the only one of it's kind he ever did, but thankfully he did not sing. That task went to John Boles & Pat Paterson. Tracy is the phony manager that gets Paterson's career going along with comical duties from Sid Silvers & Herbert Mundin as part of the swindling trio. The comedy is good. The songs are not. Bored me to death during those parts. This is a fairly light affair and is only designed to send the movie goers home with a smile.
