This movie is rather long and looses track of the main topic very often. Although, even if this movie does not reach the characteristics of a "horror" film, it is still quite entertaining and humoristic. Sumatran rat-monkey for the win!

About a possible conspiracy and numerous dreams within dreams where Bill Pullman finds himself not knowing who he is, this film does try its hardest to be interesting, but its far more concerned with trying to keep the viewer guessing than being an interesting film about ideas. Without anything substantial to the twists and turns of the film, there is no point in caring about it.

The twists and turns laid out by Twilight Zone contributor Beaumont make this well worth watching. The fact that Pullman and Paxton are together at last will almost force you to see it.

Good entry in the "What is Reality?" subgenre. How nice of them to produce an old script of Charles Beaumont's 23 years after his death

A hugely underrated movie that addresses the question of reality, identity, and the self more ably than 12 Monkeys and the Matrix.

Brain Dead is a strange and unusual horror movie. Sometimes it's a bit campy, other times it's seriously artistic, and constantly it keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering what will happen next. Pullman and Paxton are fabulous.
