Moody cinematography, a bunch of stupid metaphors, and Jude Law apologizing a lot... could have been worse.

Unexpectedly standing as the last feature film from Minghella, it's evidence that we've lost someone from the dwindling population of directors interested in crafting films for grown-ups. There's a quiet ache to this story of a business executive who finds himself wandering a bit within his own life after a couple of break-ins at his burgeoning company. Minghella handles everything with great care. The abundance of story and telling character elements, and it's all balanced out very nicely.

Pretty good crime film. Binoche as usual is terrific.

I didn't get me interested.

An unconventional movie with a refreshing view to immigration, difficult parenthood and over all to the black- and whiteness of the world.

Jude Law needs to "break" out of this character type, and stop doing lame-ass movies.

Intelligent, fun, beautiful film includes great use of city architecture.

A very nicely shot film, which falls down slightly on account of somewhat naively portrayed characters. I couldn't belieavbly get involved with a loveavble street runner character who I know in truth would have been an aggressive drunken youth. that said I enjoyed the acting, and PK was fun, and it succeeded in getting me emotionally invested most of the time.

first half is good. but the relationship between Binoche and Law is not believable and pretentious in the way its brought to the screen. as the film gets more artsy, the supposed internal transformation of Law's character never fully comes into existence on the screen too...

Some interesting and beautiful imagery and not much else. Juliette Binoche has an over-the-top melodramatic character, but she grounds Amira and makes her seem human.

really boring movie, if it wasnt for the actors and the nice parkour it would be on one level with Being Julia
