I was strongly reminded of Chuck Jones's "Duck Amuck" et al.

Characters exist in the menace of flawed film print in Broken Down Film, Osamu Tezuka making exolting comic use of their patchy mini-world's breaks and scratches. Not great, this makes for amiable fun whose depth of gratitude for the cinema shines through.
