Bizarre and funny short. Malevolent locations are certainly an interesting idea, and who hasn't had days that felt like this?

Very fun, fast-paced silent short, where the manic music melds perfectly with the bizarre stop-motion animated events of an evil room and the man trapped inside of it. It's funny and engaging throughout, but with that said, it didn't have much of a punchline, or attempted much of an allegory. It was plenty entertaining on its own, but nothing special, either.

Solid surreal fun. When he's on Svankmajer can do some great things.

By the book existential crisis stuff. Cool stop motion and imagery.

A genius and utterly hilarious story of a hostile apartment. Bizarre work in the style of Bunuel and Kafka.

A cool little slice of surrealism. Nothing groundbreaking or even memorable, but it's nice while it lasts.

A man is trapped in an apartment where nothing works the way he expects it to. And then there's the guy stroking a rooster. But really, it's good.

I'm usually a sucker for surrealism so I'm biased, but I enjoy the idea of a psycho apartment. And the end is classy as hell.

Unlike nearly every Svankmajer thing I've seen, not a moment feels wasted - it's sharp, funny and perfectly made throughout. The central idea is hilariously brilliant, and it's just a delight to watch. I also love the strangely mysterious ending.
