Viewed March 20, 2017. The film challenges the sexual mores of Catholicism by having it be about the "forbidden passion" of a priest, which is an interesting idea, but it never coalesces into anything more than vaguely pleasant and watchable. It's hard to tell if my professor showed this film because he thinks it is a great one or because its stylistically typical of Latin American cinema in the 80s.

I found this movie to be kind of disappointing. The acting was nondescript, the music overpowering and cheesy at times, the chemistry between the leads was non-existent, and the framing of shots seemed off to me.
