Renée Zellweger is the worst

Zellweger didn't irritate me in this film which surprised me. Good movie with a few thrills.

Overall it was creepy enough and has some particularly freaky moments (Lily's parents were amazing). Creepy kids are scarier than creepy adults, so that's a nice foundation to build on. Besides, Zellweger has a natural helplessness around her, which was a perfect match for her part. At the end of the day, it relies too much on horror genre basics, which makes it run of the mill; but Case 39 is above average when you compare it to the general low level of output in horror in recent years.

Not scary. Boring. Dumb.

In lieu of exploring parental fears and abuses, Case 39 director Christian Alvart instead opts for an altogether more reductive take on the "satan spawn" scenario than would even be achieved in the realm of classic crap inhabited by the likes of Village of the Damned. Piling on the demonic leanings thick and inflicting upon unfortunate (and foolish) viewers bad acting low-lighted by the consistently abysmal Renee Zellweger, he achieves top-to-bottom, context-deprived, sub-Orphan crappiness.

This movie did not do anything that hasn't already been done but it was still entertaining.

Bland. And Renee Zellweger.... ugh!

Simply put, If you enjoyed the movie "Orphan", you'll have a good time watching "Case 39". This is guaranteed.

Have I seen the story before? yes.. Was it predictable ? yes... Did it scare the living shit out of me ? YES! Brilliant acting and some really creepy scenes made this movie very good to watch!

I like this movie...it was a good little chiller...way better than the Orphan...a good time...Renee s best work in a long time...great moment with bugs...that is all i will say

Very unoriginal and therefore quite boring.

nothing new and i hate zellweggers acting but: its scary as shit! well worth a watch.

Nothing special. Actually, everything could be predicted very easily once the parents tried to kill the child. I mean come on - her name is Lilith...

Very weak and usual horror story without anything new to bring out. Full of actors with tv carea and it was pretty surprise why Zellweger accept the part.

Good. A solid supernatural thriller that unfortunately fizzles out near the end, but it manages to maintain a creepy atmosphere and delivers plenty of scares along the way. My one real gripe here is Miss Zellwegger, if the studio's idea of an all-American woman is an ugly, hairy, squinty eyed bad actress, then I guess she fits the bill. Regardless of her annoying presence, this remains a decent horror. Recommended.

Some pretty good "creepy" acting by the young girl can't make up for all the holes in the plot.

Just terrible. Sort of in a funny way but in all honesty don't waste your money or time. Unless you want to see Renee Zellweger horribly washed up and fueled by Botox and sour lemons.
