Summary: Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor play working class brothers who dream of better things than their respective mechanic and restaurant jobs. Hard-drinking Terry (Farrell) has a weakness for gambling, while brother Ian (McGregor) hankers for the finer things when he starts dating a very ambitious actress (Hayley Atwell). Fate deals a hand when their rich American uncle (Tom Wilkinson) slinks into London with a murderous proposition.

Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor were pretty amazing in this film. We witness them both transform completely as characters, Farrell becoming haunted and breaking down and McGregor becoming more conniving and devious. One of the better later career Woody Allen films.

Cassandra's Dream is absolutely a worthwhile watch, even if the ending comes as a great disappointment. There are moments of brilliance, the plot is executed wonderfully right up until the finale, and the cast is strong. It doesn't begin like a thriller that will analyze its characters, but that's certainly where most of the plot spends its time. Regardless, it's a film that's definitely worth a watch.
