Halle Berry had already shown us how miserably bad she was in the X-Men series - so who was the bright spark that signed her up for this?! The clumsy attempt to write some "women's issues" into the script only serves to reveal it as the formulaic, movie-by-numbers, money grab that it is. There's no story worth telling here: it's cheap, hollow, and ghastly.

How to rate this? It's absolutely awful to watch alone but so-bad-its-hilarious with the right friends over drinks. It might also be the greatest cautionary tale about what happens when Hollywood disregards the source material for a comic book movie. Other than looking hot this Catwoman bears no resemblance to the Catwoman of the comics. This one is a nervous goofball by day & by night she likes to strut to 3rd rate Destiny's Child music cause she's sexy, right? The villain? A cosmetics mogul!

God, I'm an idiot. I was stupid enough to convince myself that Halle Berry might actually be able to save this movie. In the end I couldn't even get half way through. If Stars Wars has taught me anything, it's to TRUST MY INSTINCTS. Why didn't I listen to them? Never again.

It takes a special kind of awful for me to not be able to make it through a movie. I couldn't make it past the basketball scene. Congratulations to all involved. This movie needs to be treasured.

Catwoman is an abomination of a superhero film that made me appreciate certain lesser ones a lot more. Thinking back on how well-made both Daredevil and Elektra were (by comparison) was more fun than watching this. The characters are inconsistent, the writing is terrible, the action scenes are muddled, boring and filled with poor CGI, and the cat powers Berry gets don't even really make sense. Please, please, stay away from this film.

Not the worst movie ever but when we have "Manos: the Hands of Fate", "Dungeons & Dragons" and "Starship Troopers: Hero of the Federation" for comparison that doesn't really say much. I watched it because I have a morbid curiosity about bad movies and figuring out what they did wrong. Here? Pretty much everything. The villain's over the top with a ridiculous "evil plan". Catwoman's powers are specious. The direction is seizure-inducing. Watch this as an example of how wrong a movie can go.

There is no question that this is irredeemably stupid, poor in all respects, and fundamentally ill-conceived. Nevertheless, one cannot help but wonder if some of the opprobrium it garnered was not the result of the fact it was constructed by the filmmakers as a female fantasy of a young worker escaping the drudgery and abuse of office life, rather than the more usual male fantasy of a young man discovering that the transition to adulthood brings justice and glory. Score based on partial viewing.

Don't pay attention to the genre, this movie is actually peak comedy. There are so many scenes that are so bad they become hilarious. The cinematography during the action and the cgi made me sick.

The action sucks. The CGI is kind of uselessly there. Despite Halle Berry being in a hot leather outfit, there's little sex appeal and the movie feels sort of sterilized with a fairly weak plot. There's very little to enjoy in this movie. If you like the character, watch Batman Returns instead. It does the character much better.

Rarely is a hugely popular licensed character put to such a waste. This film has no redeeming. In fact, most of it's qualities are very low quality, such as the acting, the CG, and the writing. Catwoman is one of Hollywood's biggest wastes of time and money. Utter crapulence!

More enjoyably bad than painfully bad, but still amazingly bad. Catwoman doesn't move like a cat - she moves like Spider-Man, but sexy, and "Spider-Man but sexy" seems to be what the executives wanted out of this film. The camera is constantly either swooping majestically or cutting every four seconds, the script is ridiculous, and sure, Halle Berry doesn't put in a good performance, but she doesn't have much to work with. Watching it was lots of fun, but I can understand why everyone hated it.

Catwoman is terrible, but it's fascinatingly terrible. Some of the worst lines ever written. "I may not be a hero, but I'm sure not a killer." -- immediately after killing someone. Also, between this and Supergirl, can we get a female superhero who isn't fighting for the love of a man or over beauty products?

Awful. Halle looks like crap throughout -- the lighting and costumes on her are so unflattering. The real problem is that the CG animation of her as Catwoman is incredibly amaturish and just makes the movie ridiculous.

Perhaps the most painful movie I've seen. You've heard the phrase an "assault on the senses," and before Catwoman, I'd had never had an experience I could apply that cliche to. No more. This attempted to appeal to that endangered species of movie fan who desires a Rom-Com superhero tale, and it killed the last of that kind. You cheer for neither hero nor villain, the action is unbelievable, the dialogue grates. Apparently, the director is Pitof. Let's try a mad-lib. Catwoman is a pitof...

You don't need MUCH reason to watch Halle Berry in a cat suit, but this movie doesn't give you any reasons. I'm not sure why Halle agreed to this or why they went so D-Movie on it, or why they made her CGI so often, but why didn't they use better ass, face, boob and body shots since that was clearly the pitch? It's hard to mess those up with Halle. If you're going to make a movie about a beautiful girl's beauty, at least be about it! Also, they failed on all the Super Hero movie themes.

Unfortunately, Berry's talents and wardrobe are not enough to carry a movie that, while it will undoubtedly have an extended shelf-life as a camp classic, is a mess. Director Pitof saturates every frame with his presence and revels in drawing attention to flamboyant visuals and frenetic editing rather than focusing on characterization or good, old-fashioned storytelling. Wooden characters and a laughable storyline make this arguably one of the worst comic book adaptations ever made.
