Summary: In 1974 director Stephen Dwoskin got together a group of artistically inclined strangers and put them all in a single room for five weeks allowing them to explore their fantasies as he filmed them: they apply theatrical make-up and lounge around in ceremonial gowns while emotional and physical interactions take place between the participants. This was very (excuse the obvious pun) bizarre. It's hard one for me to know how I feel about it, on the one hand you have the great images with all the strange theatrical garb and make-up, the film is fascinating, disturbing and intimate. But the fascination wears away after a while - almost two and a half hours of this stuff is just too much for me - and the film seemed to be chipping away at my sanity by combining its droning music with these strange images which is...quite unpleasant...
