Summary: M. Madhava Menon (Thilakan), a powerful politico, destroys the life & family of a young man, Johnson (Kamal Hassan), for having a love affair with his daughter Renu (Urmila Matondkar). Years later, Johnson returns to take revenge on Madhava Menon, now the Chief Minister of Kerala. Using brains rather than brawns, he enlists the help of an apery artist Jayaram (Jayaram), & they start to intercept the CM's radio & TV broadcasts to substitute their own versions, to destroy the CM's political image.
