Summary: Who doesn't love the vastly successful Japanese video game The Oneechanbara? You got a hot sexy bikini cowgirl killing zombies? Add some extra characters for each iteration of the game series and its gets even better. (Im sure the new Wii version makes slicing zombies heads off all the more physically exertive so as to stay in physical parity with the main character who seems quite fit. (mymovies1000.blogspot.com)
You want a bikini clad Japanese girl slicing and dicing her way through hoards of zombies? You've got it; in spades. What semblance of a plot there is ain't half bad neither. Terrible CGI, but some zombie boobage make up for that.
This is a film that is not mis-sold at all; based on a zombie slashing video game (that I haven't played) it's not a good film but it never lies to you that it's going to be a work of art; "pretty girls kill zombies and fight with Samurai Swords in finalé fight (18 minutes of the less then 1hr 30m total length!)" is what the video game and this film are about; Babes, Blades and Bikinis is what it promises and what it delivers in spades.
Blows all Uwe Boll movies out of the water. Outside of that context, it just blows. The swordplay's as simplistic as at it gets, with horrendous CGI to boot, and they should've gone more over the top with the script. Seriously, why not do that instead of giving every good guy-character a heartfelt, teary-eyed scene? The final battle was a snooze. Also, sure, the main character's got a nice body and all, but the chick they had playing second fiddle to her made 'er look like an uggo in comparison.
You can tell its based on a video game by the hack and slash fight scenes. All that was missing with the health bar. Anyways, how can you go wrong with a girl in a bikini with a rub on tattoo?
It's a low budget movie based on a videogame where a chick in a bikini kills zombies with a sword. It's not Oscar material. It's kinda like Machine Girl meets an episode of Power Rangers or Dragonball Z. Cute girls in digitally enhanced battle could be worse.
